paul reilly - Headteacher
I joined Ocklynge in September 2022. I have been a Headteacher across a number of schools over the last twenty years. I love my job and the exciting day to day challenges that schools bring. In my spare time I listen to huge amounts of music and love the time I get to spend with my grown-up daughters and my grandchildren. I'm also a 'parent' to three Jack Russell Terriers who need lots of attention and cuddles!

helen emmett - Associate Headteacher
I became part of the team at Ocklynge Junior School in September 2022. I have previously been a Headteacher in a number of schools over the past 10 years and have enjoyed working with staff to improve outcomes for children. Ocklynge is an exciting school to work in, with enthusiastic children and passionate staff.
Outside of school my free time is spent with family and friends. I have a 2 year old son and a 16 year old dog who keep me on my toes!

I am very much looking forward to my new role as Head of Year 6 - we have a great team working together to prepare children for secondary school life.

Rachael carlton - SENCO
I joined the team at Ocklynge in 2019 having been the SENCO at an Academy Trust in Bexhill-on-Sea for over four years. I believe that all children can achieve their dreams when they put their minds to it and I strive to nurture and encourage all children to aspire, believe and achieve to their full potentials.
In my spare time, I enjoy running marathons, reading children’s books and spending time with my family.

Sylvia Berhane - DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead)
I have been working at Ocklynge Junior School for about 15 years, and have held various positions, from Head of Year 4, Head of Year 5, deputy headteacher and at present the safeguarding lead. I am passionate about children's well-being and safety and am always striving to create a school where children feel secure, happy and safe. I believe that for children's learning to be able to progress, they need to be in the right emotional state to do so. I therefore work with children, staff and parents giving support and help where I can and ensure that the systems that are in place at our school work to benefit all children, and most importantly are there to keep them safe.
