Following SATs week #TeamYear6, after a lot of hard work and effort, enjoyed their well earned residential trip away to Blackland Farm Farm in East Grinstead. The children spent an exciting and fun packed 3 nights away camping at Blackland Farm, where they enjoyed activities such as archery, abseiling, rock scrambling and indoor climbing to name but a few! It was an opportunity for our Year 6 pupils to enjoy a bit of down-time, and let their hair down following an intense week of SATs test. They really deserved the chance to spend some quality time together and just enjoy being in one another’s company for some well deserved fun! Mr Lloyd, Year 6 Teacher, commented that all of the children behaved impeccably and (surprisingly!) slept well in their tents, enjoying lots of amazing food and each other’s company. #TeamYear6 will be leaving us at the end of this term, ready for their next educational adventure into secondary school. It was a pleasure to celebrate them and their achievements over the course of the residential trip, watching them have fun and enjoy their impending end of chapter with us here at #TeamOcklynge. A huge Well Done to our Year 6 pupils for their efforts over the course of the last academic year, for their attitude and resilience shown throughout their SATs tests and into this final term with us. We couldn’t be prouder of them and know that they will go onto to achieve greatly. Thanks too to all of the staff that came on the trip to support the children and for ensuring they had a fabulous time. Blackland Farm is a fantastic location for camping, outdoor activities and much, much more.
